ABOUT ABOUT

Our first meeting of the 2016-2017 year is at the Fairview Inn on Thursday, July 21.

Board Installation & Public Service Introduction Program by The Mississippi Kidney Foundation

Jackson native Gail Gober Sweat has been the Executive Director of the Mississippi Kidney Foundation for almost 20 years.  In that time, she has overseen the expansion of the programs and mission of the MKF (breaking off from the National Kidney Foundation in 2007) so that now all monies are used to help countless kidney patients in the State of Mississippi, where kidney disease is prevalent.

Gail will discuss the programs, mission, and progress being made in Mississippi in the battle against kidney disease in the State of Mississippi.  As a graduate of Murrah High School and Millsaps College, Gail has spent many hours volunteering in the community with many great organizations and especially with Galloway United Methodist Church.  She has been married to John Sweat (also a Jackson native) for 39 years and is the proud mother of three daughters and two grandchildren.
